"Watakubali" a swahili word which means ‘will they accept me’? Mbosso describes a man who is in love with a woman out of his league. Although the girl is in love with him, he is afraid if the girl’s parents will be able to consent for their marriage because he is uneducated, unemployed and involves in theft for a living. In one of the incidents he robbed the girl’s parents, making him question if the parents will agree to let their daughter be with him.

The story evolves around Mbosso’s uncertainty as to whether he will be able to provide her with luxuries that she is used to getting from her family
